Each year the guild hosts a Puppetry Workshop where members teach a number of classes on puppetry topics, including basic puppetry performance techniques, simple as well as advanced puppet building, ventriloquism, and puppet use in education.

In conjunction with the workshops, the guild also produces a Puppet Variety Show, called the Great Puppet Follies, featuring performances by puppeteers from all over Utah.

Join us for the 17th Annual Puppetry Workshops on Saturday April 26th, 2008 at the campus of the Waterford School in Sandy Utah (1480 East 9400 South, Sandy, UT 84093).

    • EZ Origami Dragon Hand Puppeets - Donna Price (All Ages, $1 Kit Fee)
    • Manipulating Wide Mouth Puppets - Jeff Carpenter (Beginners)
    • Horse Marionettes - Millicent Lewis (Ages 12+, 2 hours, $18 Kit Fee)
    • Wanna-be Puppets - Joe & Leslie Flores (All Ages, 2 hours, bring stuffed animal)

    • Lean the Art of Ventriloquism - Susan Neidert (Beginners)
    • Developing Puppet Character Voices - Linda Gold (All Ages)
